Braun Ct. in Kerrytown is doing Halloween right! In the center of the Aut Bar, Common Language Book Bar, & Siam Cuisine, Kerrytown has a great Halloween display complimented perfectly by the gorgeous fall leaves.
Today from 1-3 at Veterans Memorial Park Ice Arena there is a Halloween skate- skate to spooky sounds and dress-up to win a prize for the best costume.
Common Language Book Bar is located in Kerrytown on Braun Court, and YES they sell textbooks! Their hours are great, open until 10pm during the week, midnight on weekends, and 7pm on Sunday- but if you still can’t make it, check out their website for their online store. They hold book clubs too, LezRead & Rainbow Book Club.
In Ann Arbor, summer is full of events! Top of the Park, Art Fair, Summer Festival, etc., but what about fall?
In October there’s the Halloween Farmer’s Market in Kerrytown. Bring the kids that Saturday for trick-or-treating with the local vendors. They also have pumpkin carving! Sunday the Artisan’s Market & Kerrytown Shops have a kid costume parade with haystacks and stories, AND a treasure hunt! Also in Kerrytown, the Spice Merchants will have pumpkin dip & ginger cookies out Oct. 23 from 12-2. Hollanders School of Paper & Arts has many unique classes held the rest of the month- Letterpress Printing, journaling, Collage Techniques, & Paper Marbling.
And in November Ann Arbor holds the Jewish Book Fest at the Jewish Community Center. Have “Lunch and Learn” and shop the books for sale. It’s film counterpart is held mid-May. Nov. 13th Michigan A Cappella Fest (MACFest) will be at Rackham Auditorium doing a showcase of all 15 UM a’cappella groups.

Kerrytown Market & Shops
Named after the Irish town that the founders called home, Kerrytown was originally made up of 3 main buildings in the late 1800’s used for a trade site. Those 3 historic buildings still remain & make up part of the original Village of Ann Arbor. Special care has been used to keep these historic buildings as special as they always were.
