If you’ve been trying to get around the shops and boutiques or maybe have a lunch at Earthen Jar, you might have noticed the giant inconveinence of the new parking structure going up. But you will be so happy for that extra parking once it is completed! The underground parking structure is going up right between Division and Fifth St. just south of Liberty. Its expected completion date was extended from August 2011 to this month.
It will soon be business as usual, and the local restaurants and shops are definitely excited for that! They are not shy in admiting that this massive construction has been hurting their business.

This past weekend the Saline Fiddlers of the Ellen Ewing Performing Arts Center gathered fo the 18th Annual show downtown.
Saline Fiddlers is America’s premier youth fiddling showband of music, song and dance. The Shout Sister Shout quintet hails from Michigan and is a tribute to the smoky, sophisticated sound of 1930s and ’40s jazz.
We all know and love Jolly Pumpkin here in downtown Ann Arbor, MI but did you know that the Jolly Pumpkin brewery isn’t too far away? It is located at 3115 Broad St in Dexter, MI. They have 35 active beers and plenty of positive reviews!
They also have a brewery, restaurant, and distillery in Traverse City.
Westside Book Shop is a used book store located at 113 W Liberty in downtown Ann Arbor, MI. Although Ann Arbor has many used book stores, this has been said to be the best! They have every book you could be looking for & huge collections. The staff are very knowledgable and helpful in trying to help you decide on your book.
The Pioneer Theatre Guild’s 2011-12 season starts this Saturday Nov. 5 with The Phantom of the Opera, based off the book by Andrew Lloyd Webber & Richard Stilgoe. It will run from Nov. 5 to Sunday Nov. 13th.
