Ann Arbor Events | Ann Arbor, MI

In Ann Arbor, summer is full of events! Top of the Park, Art Fair, Summer Festival, etc., but what about fall?

In October there’s the Halloween Farmer’s Market in Kerrytown. Bring the kids that Saturday for trick-or-treating with the local vendors. They also have pumpkin carving! Sunday the Artisan’s Market & Kerrytown Shops have a kid costume parade with haystacks and stories, AND a treasure hunt! Also in Kerrytown, the Spice Merchants will have pumpkin dip & ginger cookies out Oct. 23 from 12-2. Hollanders School of Paper & Arts has many unique classes held the rest of the month- Letterpress Printing, journaling, Collage Techniques, & Paper Marbling.

And in November Ann Arbor holds the Jewish Book Fest at the Jewish Community Center. Have “Lunch and Learn” and shop the books for sale. It’s film counterpart is held mid-May. Nov. 13th Michigan A Cappella Fest (MACFest) will be at Rackham Auditorium doing a showcase of all 15 UM a’cappella groups.

Stay tuned for Winter events!

Ann Arbor’s Fairy Doors

Be the first to comment on this post

If Ann Arbor hasn’t made itself clear already as to how unique and fun it truly is, than right now its screaming at the top of its lungs, because we in downtown Ann Arbor have something that no other city does… FAIRY DOORS! To me, the idea of the fairy doors almost seems like something from the imagination of London or an area overwhelmed with history.

Its quite an interesting story behind how the fairy doors came to be and alot of fun to venture around the town looking for them. But if you dont have the time to stroll the streets of downtown, head to the website for a list of where you can find them. The door above is built-in to the main door to The Ark on Main St.
