East Delhi Bridge

The Delhi Bridge pictured above is actually not the original bridge that once occupied this spot. The original bridge was destroyed by a tornado in 1918. The bridge was built by the Wrought Iron Bridge Company of Canton, Ohio, a major and prolific bridge company with unique designs that are easily spotted.

 This bridge is located in a very picturesque setting, with a metro park close by, which offers awesome views of the bridge. Ruins of the Delhi Mills are still visible in the area, with some pretty rapids in the river in that area now also. The area is wooded, and the bridge seems to fit right in with its rural turn of the 20th century appearance. The demolition of this bridge and replacement with a modern slab of concrete would have had a severely detrimental effect on the beauty of the area.

Allmendinger Park, Ann Arbor, MI

Allmendinger Park in Ann Arbor, MI surrounds Pauline Ave., Hutchins, & Edgewood. The park is at the center of the neighborhood and offers 8 acres with a basketball court, volleyball court, tennis court, baseball diamonds, play structures, a pavilion, restrooms, and picnic tables. Fall Saturdays are an especially fun time, as tailgates throughout the neighborhood celebrate Michigan Football. German Park, Ann Arbor, MI

Every last Saturday of the summer months German Park on Pontiac Trail in Ann Arbor, MI opens its gates for the German Event of the year. People from all of A2′s surrounding areas gather at German Park with German outfits, for German dancing, German food, and German beer (of course!) Its all outdoors, 5 dollars to get in, and a night filled with everything German! This Saturday was the first event of the summer and the weather was perfect!

Launch Skateboard shop is located at 1200 S University in Ann Arbor, at the Galleria Shopping Center. Perfectly located, right in the middle of the students, Launch sells skateboards, apparel, and skateboard shoes.

Polo Fields, Ann Arbor | Ann Arbor Real Estate

The Polo Fields Golf & Country Club in Ann Arbor is an 18-hole golf course & country club with fitness center, tennis courts, hot tubs, lap-pools, and regular swimming pool. Country French Estates, Ann Arbor

Last week, Martin personally went up in a helicopter and took ariel views of Ann Arbor businesses and subdivisions. Pictured above is Country French Estates. The Bouma Group has done quite alot of business in the sub and knows it well. The sub is made up of French-named streets and focuses on a ‘community’ feel. It’s a great place for the kids as there is a park with a playground and soccer field.

Summer and Fall on the U of M campus wouldn’t quite be the same without students and businessmen/women sitting with laptops in the park, reading, or sitting on a blanket with pets and friends. The Diag is friendly to all walks of life and careers, and for foot traffic or bicycles. Even on hot summer days you can always find the right amount of shade to open that book or sit and listen to a local musician strum their guitar by a tree.
