The Blind Pig , located above the 8ball Saloon at 208 S. First St. in downtown Ann Arbor, has seen some pretty impressive talent, such as the Motor City punk pioneers, the MC5, Hendrix, and even John Lennon, plus tons of other local & touring artists, bands, & DJ’s over the last 3 decades. It’s also been a number one favorite of the late Kurt Cobain.

Head over for Monday night karaoke, and catch different genres of acts all throughout the week. Tonight check out the blind pig and catch S.U.N, Gorilla Funk Mob, Paradime (of Kid Rock fame), and tomorrow The Sights play with the Satin Peaches. Burton Tower, on Central Campus at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, is a clock tower built in 1936 with a grand carillon. It is the world’s third heaviest, and has 55 bells, with the largest bell striking every hour.  Burton Tower contains classrooms & offices for the University of Michigans School of Music.

What a unique, architecturally striking structure this University of Michigan building is! Opened in February of 2006, it is the largest research facility on the University of Michigan campus, housing more than 100 faculty and scientists. The center also features a 300 seat auditorium, sky-lit atrium and 19 procedure rooms, per typical floor.

Ann Arbor’s Community High School on N. Division Street is Michigan’s Liberal Arts and Sciences High School with an open campus environment fostering and encouraging self-initiated learning opportunities.
